2 Months Old

Abigail turned 2 months old on July 1. We can't believe how much she's grown. At her 2 month appointment on July 2, she weighed 9 lbs. 10.5 oz. and was 23 in. long. She is in the 15-20 percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. She also got her first shots at this appointment. She didn't get too upset right after her shots but was very fussy the next few days.

She is starting to notice a lot more now. She "talks" a lot now and loves for you to talk to her. She has also noticed her hands and has started to grab things. She moves a lot now and loves to kick her feet. She doesn't mind other people holding her. She had her first babysitter last week and did very well. Abigail has also gotten more into a routine now. She typically sleeps at night from about 10pm to 4am and then again from 5am to 8am. During the day, she takes mostly cat naps and eats every couple of hours. She usually takes one long nap in the afternoon.

Abigail is really good when we go out with her. She is actually better when we go out than she is when we're at home. At home, she wants to be held all the time, but when we go out, she is content just sitting in her car seat. I will try to be better about keeping everybody updated with her progress. The first few months were quite an adjustment but mommy and baby are getting into somewhat of a routine now.
